“Just thought I'd say what fun I had making a handwritten italic-ish font (called Fitztalic after our old dog Fitzroy.) It kept me occupied a whole evening getting my template just the way I wanted it, and I liked the way i could keep submitting until I was happy. In your Q&A you might mention that exaggerated tails (on letters R and J, say) can lead to erratic-looking spacing. I had to curtail some of my excesses by editing in Photoshop. I also found that ruling faint lines in pencil (which I later erased) helped me to keep the x-height fairly steady. Best wishes, Harry”
